People on a weight control program are advised to be physically active to balance  the calories  hey consume with the calories burned.

Most people; however, don't do it on the recommended 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobics per week.

They need vigorous-intensity aerobics exercise; they need more intense exercise such as running, jogging, biking, dancing and swimming to burn the excess calories.

Zumba, a dance-fitness program has been identified as an effective and healthy way to burn excess calories.

The physical activity appears to burn more calories than power yoga, cardio kick-boxing and step aerobics.

In a recent study, researchers found that high-intensity exercise is good cardiovascular workout for many.

For those pursuing weight control the benefits could be successful weight loss and cardiovascular health.

The study involved19 females age 18-22; they all had previous experience in a zumba exercise class.

They performed a treadmill test to measure their heart rate and oxygen consumption at the start of the study.

For the study they joined a single zumba class taught by a zumba instructor.

Each participant reached a heart rate maximum of 80% and burned 9.5 calories. According to the report it is enough to improve cardiovascular health.

The calories burned were more than in other high intensity exercise.
